The first botanical field guide dedicated to one of the most fascinating floral areas in Switzerland and the Insubric region. Unwinding at the foot of steep slopes and limestone cliffs staring down at Lake Lugano, in a position sheltered from the wind, is the Gandria Trail: a narrow strip of land just 1.4 km long, where around 400 wild plant species can be observed, together with numerous ornamental species cultivated in parks and gardens.
