Both manufacturers and customers are bound by the usual contractual obligations to provide or accept technical documentation deliverables. Usually force majeure or impossibility can neither be claimed by manufacturers nor by customers. In case of problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic with regard to the provision and acceptance of technical documentation deliverables, the contract should jointly be adapted to the new situation in an appropriate manner, taking into account the interests of both parties. Appropriate agreements should urgently be made at an early stage before legal disputes can arise. The provision of documentation deliverables in electronic form is of particular importance in this special situation.
