This part on the coldwater genus Neptunea is a comprehensive revision of this profuse group which its vast variability, only topped by the giant genus Buccinum, likely the most diverse genus of temperate water molluscs. This monograph describes the 63 species of Neptunea unravelling the extensive and extremely complicated synonymy and figures the enormous intra-specific variation on excellent colour plates. Altogether, the authors describe 12 new species and two new subspecies for science.
