vUsing twelve positive examples from expert practice, the methodological evolution and the impact of landscape planning are presented in an accessible and easy-to-understand form. The planning cases illustrate what good expert practice looks like and how certain planning tasks can be carried out. Drawing on different fields of general planning and locally specific planning projects, methods and procedures are explained, together with the influence that landscape planning can have. The book has been written as a contribution to the development of landscape planning standards, in particular for environmental impact assessments, impact evaluations and mitigation measures.
